คราวนี้ลองมาพูดเรื่องสำนวนกันบ้างดีกว่า พอดีนั่งท่อง Internet ไปเรื่อยๆ แล้วสะดุดเจอสำนวนที่ว่า "get a rise out of someone" แรกๆ ก็ลองแปลแบบมั่วๆ ดูแต่แปลๆ แล้วไม่ค่อย make sense เท่าไหร่เลยไปเปิด Oxford dictionary สุดที่รักดูเพื่อหาความหมายที่แท้จริง สรุปก็คือ

Get a rise out of someone = to make somebody react in an angry way by saying something that you know will annoy them, especially as a joke. (การยั่วให้ใครสักคนโมโหโดยการพูดหรือเล่นมุกที่คนๆ นั้นไม่ชอบ)
